We’re Catering the Philippine Consular Outreach Event: November 14 & 15 in the West Valley

Anne's Filipino Catering is the only hot food vendor at the Philippine Consular Outreach Event, November 14-15, 2026 in the West Valley. Come hungry for $15 BBQ, lumpia, and rice combo plates.

I have some news that genuinely made me tear up a little when I got the call.

Anne's Filipino Catering has been selected as the only hot food vendor for the Philippine Consular Outreach Event here in the West Valley, on November 14 and 15, 2026. Two full days. We are planning for about 200 Filipino and Filipino-American guests each day. And we will be the only ones cooking real, hot pagkain for all of them.

This is not just a catering gig for us. This is our community. This is our people. And we get to feed them.

What Is the Philippine Consular Outreach, and Why Does It Matter?

Not everyone in the Filipino community knows about these outreach events, so let me explain it because this one is genuinely important for families in the West Valley.

The Philippine Consulate General normally serves Arizona from its Los Angeles office, which means that if you need a passport renewed, a birth registered, documents authenticated, or civil registry paperwork processed, you typically have to travel to California or wait for a limited appointment window. For a lot of Fil-Am families out here, that is a real barrier. It takes a full day off work, it costs money, and it means coordinating around kids, jobs, and everything else life throws at you.

Consular outreach events bring those same official services directly to the community. For the exact services, appointment requirements, and registration steps at this event, please check the Philippine Consulate General Los Angeles directly.

If you have been putting off any of those things because the logistics felt impossible, this is your window. These events happen only a few times a year and they fill up fast. Pay attention to the Philippine Consulate General's official channels for registration details and appointment requirements, because walk-in availability varies.

Anne's Filipino Catering Is the Only Hot Food Vendor

This is the part I am still a little proud about. Out of everyone they could have called, Edward, who is the President of Commerce AZ, reached out to us to be the food vendor for this event. We are the only ones serving hot food both days.

That means if you are spending the day at the consular outreach, whether you are there for a quick document renewal or waiting out a longer appointment, you are not stuck eating a granola bar from your bag. You come to our booth and we take care of you.

We are a family operation, and I mean that literally. The full crew will be there: me (Anne), my husband Albert, my father-in-law, my mother-in-law, and our family friend Edna. Five people who all care deeply about every plate we put out. When you walk up to our booth, you are getting food prepared for the two-day event with the same care we put into every catering order.

The Food: Our $15 Combo Plate

We are keeping the menu focused so we can do it right at volume.

$15 Combo Plate: Rice + BBQ Chicken or BBQ Pork + 2 Lumpia Shanghai

Let me tell you what that actually means.

The BBQ, whether you go chicken or pork, is marinated overnight. We are not rushing it. The sauce is the family recipe, the one that has been feeding people at every salu-salo (gathering) we have ever catered. It goes on the grill low and slow until the outside is caramelized and smoky and the inside is still juicy. If you have ever had authentic Filipino BBQ on a stick, you know the smell. You know that sticky, sweet char. That is what we are bringing.

The lumpia Shanghai are hand-rolled. My mother-in-law does not cut corners on this. Every piece is prepared ahead for service and served hot from the booth. Two pieces per combo is never enough, I know, but they go ubos (gone) fast and we have to feed 200 people, so come early if lumpia is your thing.

The rice is cooked on-site in the big rice cooker. Not made ahead the night before. Not reheated. We bring the cooker, we cook the rice there, and it stays hot and steaming all day so every plate gets real rice, the way it should be.

We will also have drinks: water for $2, canned soda for $2.50, and juice boxes for $2.

This Is Your Best Chance to Try the Food Before You Book

I say this to everyone: the best thing you can do before booking a catering package is taste the food first. A $15 plate at this event is the easiest taste test there is.

If you have been thinking about Filipino catering for a quinceañera, a graduation party, a holiday gathering, or any event where you want real pagkain on the table, take a look at our Filipino dish combinations guide, then come to the consular outreach, get a combo plate, and see for yourself. If the BBQ is not the best you have had in the Valley, I will be surprised. And if you want to talk packages after, I will be right there at the booth.

Our packages start at $157 for smaller family gatherings and go up from there depending on guest count. But taste first. Let the food do the talking.

Come Find Our Booth, Come Say Hi

One of my favorite things about events like this is getting to meet the community face to face. So much of what we do happens over text and Instagram DMs, which I love, but there is nothing like actually handing someone a plate and watching their face when they taste it.

Come find us. We will have the booth set up and the food going. The family will be there and we would genuinely love to meet you, whether you end up booking with us or just stop by to say hi. That is what kita kita tayo is all about. We see each other, we feed each other, we look out for each other.

This event also has a little extra personal meaning for our family this year, for a few reasons I will share more about when we see you there. Let us just say we are walking into this one with full hearts.
